Meet Dr. Stanley – Brown
Dr. Odett Stanley-Brown has been caring for children and working with families for more
than 30 years.
She trained at Yale School of Medicine and completed her pediatric residency at the
University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital. Over the years, she has practiced in a variety of settings—including primary care, hospital medicine, and academic medicine— and has spent much of her career teaching and mentoring future physicians.
Her approach to care is simple: listen carefully, ask thoughtful questions, and take the time to understand each child. She believes good pediatric care depends on strong relationships, and that families should feel comfortable asking questions, being heard, and taking part in decisions.
Her clinical interests include ADHD, child development, and preventive care, with a focus on
helping families make practical, sustainable choices around nutrition and daily health.
She created We Fit Kids to offer a different kind of pediatric experience—one where visits aren’t rushed, communication is easy, and care is truly personalized.
Originally from Jamaica, she brings a broad perspective on family and health to her work.
She is married, has four grown children, and shares her home with two dogs and a cat.
She is especially passionate about drowning prevention, encouraging children to read and
develop their minds, and helping families build healthy habits from the very beginning.

We support families in building healthy habits that promote strong growth, steady energy, and overall well-being.
From early feeding to school-age nutrition, we take a practical, supportive approach that meets each child where they are.
